This photograph by San Francisco Chronicle’s, Frederic Larson, represents the spirit of Burning Man. Here Burners climb a butterfly sculpture to watch the sun rise over the Playa. Another lovely depiction of the spirit of the festival can be seen in the short video, “Lose Yourself to Dance”. It’s a good feeling, Burning Man! I hope to be there next year.

One of my main concerns about Burning Man (apart from the unbelievably expensive ticket costs!) is its impact on the environment. In this video you can see one way that Burning Man tries to be socially responsible:
I went to Burning Man once and was completely blown away by it. The art was very impressive, and then it all transformed at night!
I’ve always wanted to go but the prices are exorbitant! Maybe next year, if tickets are still available and I have money to do it.
You must go! I think it was around $300 something when I went. There’s free food once you’re there. I went with family that had a Winnebago, though, come to think of it I slept in an open trailer with a tent I built on the spot with bamboo and canvas. So, there’s also the question of where you will sleep.
I think it’s well worth the money to experience. But one wants to go with good company. Free drinks round the clock, as I remember.
