Happenstance

A strange little place, is Molly Magees on Castro, in Mountain View.

Waiting for a play to begin one evening after work, I wandered along Castro Street looking for a restaurant and bar. I ended up at Molly’s because they had Hendrick’s gin. But when it came time to order my meal, Molly’s didn’t have a restaurant, although it was clearly listed as a “bar and restaurant.” This little establishment, touted as an Irish pub, served no food! The bar-keep had me order my food from another establishment: It then delivered my meal to me at Molly’s!

My bartender? She sure knew how to make a gin and tonic. After two drinks, I had clearly reached my limit.
